South Sumatra coal
miner PT Triaryani is expected to start commercial production in the
second half of this year from its mine in Musi Rawas regency, a company
official told Petromindo.Com
Triaryani
is expected to produce an initial capacity of one million tons per
annum and will ramp up to reach 5.5 million tons per annum within four
years, the official said.
The
company has completed the construction of mining facilities, including
ROM stockpile, waste dump area, and completed the pre-stripping
activities. As such, the mining area has been ready for trial mining.
Based
on PT Britmindos report in October 2011, total coal reserves which were
calculated based on JORC standard amounted to 242 million tons
consisting of 222 million tons of proven reserves and 20 million tons of
probable reserves with an average of 3.69 stripping ratio.
Triaryani
produces coal with calorie content ranges of 4,463-5,471 Kcal/Kg (adb)
with sulfur content of 0.16%-0.33% and 5.52%-5.97% ash content.
